SHYFT Youth Services is a safe and supportive housing option for youth between the ages of 16-24. The home opened on January 5th, 2011 and is able to accommodate 7 youth. The youth share bathrooms and kitchen space. The meals are shared and prepared by youth and staff.

All youth are responsible to follow houserules and expectations. These rules and expectations will be explained and discussed upon intake. Referrals can be made by outside agencies or individuals (including the youth).

SHYFT Housing offers the following services:
  • 24 hour staff support 
  • Shared meal preparation
  • Beds for 7 youth 16 - 24 years old
  • Staff willing to work with youth to develop goals and a plan
  • Access to laundry services

If you wish to make a donation:

SHYFT Youth Services Society is the body that advises the work that is being done at SHYFT. The Tri County Women’s Centre is the proponent of the project and administers the funding. Please issue cheques to the Tri County Women’s Centre. A charitable tax receipt will be made out for any donation $20.00 or more.

SHYFT will also accept non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, soap, tampons, pads), socks, slippers, blankets, books, gently used youth appropriate clothing, and DVDs.
