SHYFT provides temporary housing for up to seven youth (ages 16 - 24). In addition to residential services, SHYFT offers programs, workshops and outreach services which include but are not limited to supportive counseling, accompaniment, washroom access, laundry, and kitchen facilities.
Exciting News from SHYFT Youth Services!
We are thrilled to announce that SHYFT has purchased property on Parade Street, which will be the future home of our new shelter! We’re currently seeking funding for our proposed building and are eager to see this vision come to life. To celebrate this milestone, we’re also introducing a brand-new logo, designed by one of our staff members, Victoria Samson. Please spread the word about our exciting developments. We’ll keep you updated along the way as we work towards creating a safe and supportive space for at-risk youth. |
SHYFT was the greatest experience of the almost the 3 years I had experienced in the system. SHYFT provided me hope, encouragement and faith daily when I didn't. Each staff member had their own set of amazing traits and continue to shine. I am forever grateful for the services and experiences provided through SHYFT. |
